Dompim-Pepesa Riots: Victims Demands Instant Justice

Dauda Issaka and Barbara Yankey who sustained life-threatening injuries from a violence that erupted on Saturday at Dompim-Pepesa, a farming community in the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality of the Western Region are ferious as they demand Justice.

It is unclear what triggered the violence but as it stands now, it has been linked to a protracted chieftaincy dispute at Dompim, hometown of the MP, Hon. George Mireku Duker.

Dauda Issaka during an interview with Angel news said the accused Robert Amo, alias Jator with his group attacked and slashed them after they tried to question him for beating and threatening their cousin with knife and gun in their house, they also dismissed recent allegations that they were the one who came with cutlass to attack Robert Amo, alias Jator.

Barbara Yankey also being a victim of the violence during an interview with Angel news said, she was attacked and beaten severely by Robert Amo, alias Jator and his group just because she is a family member of the MP, Hon. George Mireku Duker.

The victims later made a passionate appeal to government, security agencies to let Justice prevail.

The victims are in critical condition and currently receiving treatment.
Robert Amo, alias Jator, the accused has been granted bail and will be sent back to court on November 3 for further questioning.
