A 31-year-old Nigerian, Nnaemeka Udeh has also fell victim to Quest Net Company Limited at Nkawkaw in the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly of the Eastern Region.
According to the victim, he’s been in Ghana for just two weeks and was just through a friend called Wisdom Wonu who is also a Nigerian, who called to introduce the business to him, telling him how lucrative it is.
He then decided to give it a try by coming from Nigeria to Ghana through an unapproved route, and got to the office of Quest Net, he was told to pay an amount of GH 5000 for the process of his documentations and to open an E-store account for him, which he paid GH 4,500 with a balance of GH 500.
Udeh further said, after paying that amount, he has seen nothing or been given nothing as he was promised, so he decided to quit because he felt it was a scam.
“When I told them I want to quit and want my money back, they gave me two options. They told me Wisdom was supposed to bring two people, that’s myself and one other, so I should wait for the other person to come and pay so that they give his money to me or they will deduct everything they have spent in processing my details and give me my balance, but they didn’t even tell me how much they are going to deduct” he said
He again said “I suspect they even want to kill me. Because I suspect the food they give me is poisoned, and when I refuse to the take the food, they will be angry and insult me. They said I’m now a threat to them and that’s why I think they want to eliminate me”
The victim on Monday 6th September, 2021 run to Agoo fm’s Obrempong-Nana Kwaku Ampomah after reporting the case to the police without any action taken, to help him retrieve his money and rescue some others who are suffering in the hands of Quest Net Company Limited.
