Obohene pours libation to uplift the status of the Kwahu Nifahene after alleged insult by Kwahuhene

Obo Chief who doubles as the Nifahene of Kwahu Traditional Council, Osabarima Yeboah Afari Obuagyan II has ordered for the pouring of libation, slaughtered sheep to uplift his status and that of his sub-chiefs this morning at the forecourt of the Obo Palace.

The Obo Traditional Authorities have alleged that, an insult was rained on them by the Kwahuhene, Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, when he (Obohene) sent his sub-chiefs to him (Kwahuhene) over a close observation on the rightful heir to the Pitiku throne which the Kwahuhene was to be informed, but turned to be an insult on the delegation that that was sent from the Obo Palace.

Chieftaincy disputes in Ghana have taken roots in the country. Some comes from different dimensions and reason and meanings and/or all forms which in the end turns to draw development of the community in which it occurs and the country at large aback.
Addressing the press yesterday 10th November 2020 at Obo Palace.

Osabarima indicated that “we know and still recognize Daasebre as the Kwahuhene, but we need to do what is right and necessary as custom demands. So I need to uplift the status of the Nifa which consists of me and my sub-chiefs. No one can insult me and my Sub-chiefs just like that, because he is my overlord, especially when I have sent a delegation to him peacefully”.

“After today, our doors are open to Daasebre for a peaceful dialogue. But if that do not happen, we’ll advice ourselves and know how to live in Kwahu with Kwahuhene”, he added.
On conclusion, Osaabarima Yeboah Afari Buagyan II said “If we hear nothing from Daasebre after today, we will send complain to any Prominent Paramount Chief of the same standard of the Daasebre or even higher than him, and if nothing comes out of that, we will advice ourselves.’’

Agoo fm news’ Obrempong-Nana Kwaku Ampomah reports that ‘’today’s exercise saw all the Sub-Chiefs of the Nifa of the Kwahu Traditional Council, including the Obomenghene, the Obohene himself, just for few.
