Residents at Bonsa, a farming Community in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality of the western region were displaced Saturday evening after a heavy storm unroofed their apartment.
According to the affected residents, the rain surfaced with heavy storm at 16hours yesterday where they took to their heels to seek for shelter in their rooms.
The heavy storm ransacked the roofing sheets and paved way for the rain to destroy their belongings, electrical gadget among others.
The unaffected Bonsa Residents after the incident were compelled to accommodate those who displaced by the heavy rain storm.
The entire Community were shocked with the unexpected storm.
Meanwhile some fear for their lives as there may be another natural incident ahead of the raining season.
Speaking to New Day TV Reporter, the affected Residents are therefore calling on the Government of Ghana, the Member of Parliament, Hon. George Mireku Duker and the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipal Assembly to assist them with new roofing sheets and woods to roof their structure.
New Day TV reporter, Benjamin visited the Bonsa Community on Sunday morning can confirm that, several buildings were hit by the natural disaster.
Furthermore due to the unforseen circumstances, some of the affected residents who were able to afford new roofing materials, seek the services of carpenters to in Bonsa reroof their buildings before another tragedy may occur.
